What if Memorial Highway became a public recreation space? Several ambitious proposals explore answers that could dramatically transform a section of NYS Route 5. The LINC

Phase 1

One submitted proposal could replace a portion of Memorial Highway with green park space and walkable and cyclable passages from Lincoln Avenue to the library.

Another concept envisions a variation on New York City’s High Line, bringing green space to the elevated section of Memorial Highway that passes over North Avenue.
